Abstract

In the Republic of Argentina of the second half of the nineteenth century, recently constitutionally organized, stood out the figure of a politician who was at the same time orator and statesman, professor and revolutionary leader: Aristóbulo del Valle.

Despite his humble origins, his intelligence led him to occupy the highest public duties through the citizens' vote and he was the voice of the people and the Constitution in the argentinian Parliament.
He had been educated and he also educated lawyers at the Law School in the University of Buenos Aires, excelling in the field of Cons- titutional Law. In his civic performance he tried to materialize the de- mocratic republican ideal of the constituents of 1853.
