World Court of Human Rights

This paper develops a comprehensive analysis on the possible creation of a World Court of Human Rights, in the current international context. It describes the objectives and the possible role of a court of such characteristics, and exposes my contrary opinion in connection with its establishment, on the ground that this Court would fail to overcome the shortcomings of existing systems of human rights, because, like them, it depends on the consent of States and entities to ratify its statute and accept its jurisdiction.
