Este ensayo analiza el desarrollo de los medios y métodos de combate cibernéticos. El estudio se enfoca en cómo estos han cambiado la forma en que se entiende la participación directa en las hostilidades y cómo estas herramientas interactúan con sus elementos constitutivos. El propósito es deconstruir estos requisitos, tal como son presentados en la guía interpretativa elaborada por el Comité Internacional de la Cruz Roja, y confrontarlos con diferentes supuestos en que herramientas cibernéticas pueden ser utilizadas.
